Welcome to The Scrapyard Textiles

The Scrapyard is a Pembrokeshire based organisation which in this culture of every changing throw away fashion wants - to encourage sustainability in the textile industry. 
We aim to do this in three ways:

A Textile Resource

To store in order to provide a supply of recycled materials which are available to the community.
We have a wide variety of textiles from vintage pieces to scraps for rag ruggers, felters, quilters and any other textile artist. We can supply salvaged buttons, haberdashery and bits and bobs too.

Workshops

We can provide workshops for community groups such as schools , arts projects, local festivals and events. We call these workshops ‘Minging to Blinging’, an updated version of ‘make do and mend’.
These workshops aim to equip the recipients with the skills necessary to make art from scrap and to revamp old clothes into something funky and unique.

Thrift

We as a cooperative are creating a range of items for sale made from recycled materials. This will include a range of recycled, revamped clothing which can be purchased on our website or on sale at community events.

We aim to link this business venture in with our workshops thus enabling people to sell what they make and empowering people to set themselves up in business.
